In this blog post, we’ll explore how our four-steps learning approach, combining experts delivered, project-based learning (PBL), live workshops at the parks, and extended coding lessons, not only empowers students with creativity, authentic experiences, student agency and competition, but also embraces inclusion and differentiation throughout the entire Coded experience.

Our meticulously crafted four-step journey is geared toward fostering creativity in every single one of our participants. 

We truly believe in learning by doing. That’s why we prioritize authentic experiences through a project-based learning approach. We place students in real-world scenarios, connecting them with experts who share their knowledge on the skills they’ll need to face in tech careers. This hands-on engagement is about nurturing creativity by encouraging students to develop innovative projects.

Creativity flourishes when students have the freedom to explore and experiment. Our journey emphasizes student agency, enabling them to take charge of their education. Throughout our programs, they become active participants that make decisions, set goals, and think creatively to solve complex problems. This autonomy ignites their imaginative spark and instills a sense of ownership over their creative endeavors.

Healthy competition sparks creativity. Our students engage in friendly competition, pushing one another to excel and think outside the box. Whether it’s project challenges or collaborative events at our live workshops, competition encourages them to innovate and explore new avenues, reinforcing the importance of creativity in their tech journey.

While our STEAM curricular approach remains comprehensive, our variety of hand-on experiences and extended coding lessons, enable students to delve deeper into specialized areas of interest, fostering their creative exploration in their chosen domains.
