A new way
To live the steam experience

ORLANDO STEAM LEAGUE

The program is structured around 10 interconnected workshops held at various educational locations, including NASA facilities. Students will gain hands-on experience by creating daily deliverables for their websites. The final day is for polishing and perfecting their projects before submission. This project-based learning approach challenges students to refine their problem-solving, leadership, and teamwork skills while applying real-world STEAM concepts.

During a week-long program, students will work in teams to create a website for their own space colony, integrating principles of STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, and Mathematics) and the UN Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).

Teams will be split into Junior and Senior categories and will collaborate to design a comprehensive website that includes:

EUROPE STEAM LEAGUE

The Europe STEAM League in London is a unique experience that challenges students to use technological innovation to address pressing global issues. Participants will live and learn in an authentic British school setting, providing a genuine sense of college life while immersing themselves in one of the world’s most historic capitals.

This League is focused on the development of technological solutions to combat global warming and promote sustainability. Students will explore how to use technology to address environmental challenges, such as optimizing renewable energy systems or enhancing climate prediction models.

STEAM LEAGUE AI

This League is dedicated to civic innovation. Students will learn to apply artificial intelligence (AI) and other technologies to improve public policies and solve problems within their local communities. They will focus on creating solutions that support social well-being and governance.

This League  is designed to integrate academic research with practical, real-world application, all while exploring London’s rich cultural and historical landscape.

Tokyo STEAM Championship

The Tokyo STEAM Championship, taking place in Tokyo, is an exclusive competition for past winners of Coded programs. The program challenges students to address real-world problems by integrating academic research and robotic innovation. The program features two interconnected tracks that students will pursue concurrently, culminating in a final presentation in Tokyo.

Program Structure and Goals

The program’s core is the simultaneous development of a policy solution and a robotic prototype. The two tracks are:

Traveling safe

Security measures we currently provide when students travel independently

1. Contact Information and travel plan

Ensure the student has all key contact information, including the guardian’s number, emergency contacts, and travel details, along with a clear trip plan covering the itinerary, schedules, and transportation.

2. Guidance and Training

Clear Instructions, provides the student and Guardian with clear instructions on safety procedures, emergency contacts, and how to handle unforeseen situations.

3. Upon arriving at the airport for their return

The guardian will accompany the student and ensure they are safely checked in. Once the student is ready for departure, the guardian will notify the responsible party by sharing photos in the group chat, confirming that everything is in order.

FAQs

This is a program only for students age 11-17 years old.
There are no stringent academic prerequisites or prior knowledge required for participation. However, as the program offers an immersive English experience, participants should ideally possess at least a B2 level of proficiency in English to fully engage and benefit from the learning opportunities provided.

We have comprehensive safety protocols in place. Our programs include emergency contact numbers, on-site staff, dedicated activity coordinators, an on-site doctor, and each participant is assigned a personal Guardian. We also provide health insurance for added security. We recommend asking about specific safety measures for each program, including local emergency services, to ensure that your child has all the necessary contact information.

How are participants supervised?

Participants are supervised through detailed supervision plans, which include regular check-ins with program coordinators, structured schedules, and supervised accommodations. Their Guardian is responsible for them at all times, both in-person and virtually, using tools like our 360 navigation app to maintain constant communication and support.

Our programs are fully prepared for any health-related needs. We have arrangements with local healthcare providers and offer emergency medical assistance. Additionally, we have designated medical facilities and staff contacts available at all times, as well as health insurance coverage for students. This ensures that your child will receive the necessary care and support during their stay.

What should the participant do if they face problems or feel homesick?

Coded provides strong emotional support through counseling services, peer support groups, and the constant presence of their Guardian throughout the entire program. We encourage participants to openly share their feelings and concerns with our staff, and we emphasize that homesickness is a normal experience. Our team is here to listen, support, and ensure a positive experience for each student.

Our programs prioritize open and regular communication. For the World Citizen program, we create two separate chat groups: one for the children and one for the parents. This allows us to keep everyone connected and informed. Parents can reach the designated Guardian at any time. The Guardian will provide updates on daily activities, share photos, and communicate any important information or changes, ensuring that you always stay informed and engaged with your child’s experience.

Verify the visa and travel requirements for the destination country, including any necessary documentation, vaccinations, or permits. Ensure that your child’s passport is valid for the duration of their stay and understand the process for visa applications if needed. Have all the necessary documentation to travel on their own to the chosen destination, especially when they are underage.
